Taking charge of your emotions at Phoenix Pyeongchang as a location of shooting “Begin Again”
It is not enough to remember Phoenix Pyeongchang as a sacred place for winter sports and snowboarders. This is a resting place where you can recover your body and mind while enjoying the beautiful nature of the four seasons. If you want to get out of the crowds of the city and enjoy a kind of liberation while looking at the open landscape, Phoenix Pyeongchang is the right place.
After Mont Blanc, the top of Phoenix Pyeongchang, was introduced in the JTBC’s entertainment program “Begin Again Korea” in July, Phoenix Pyeongchang started to become famous as a place with a great view. When you go up the hill with the gondola for approximately 20 minutes looking at the pistes and the tourist complex including hotels under your feet, you will arrive at Mont Blanc located at 1,050 meters above sea level. At this place called the top of Taegisan Mountain, you can feel the fresh breeze, watching the green wild woods. Drinking tea at an outdoor table in a cafe or having a panoramic view looking down from the observation deck will be healing. In summer, you will face the greenery that makes your heart open just by looking at it.
A wide grassland spreads around the observation deck, making it a great place for a leisurely stroll or for children to play. If you look at the hillside using the observation telescope, you can feel the novelty and fun of discovering wild animals such as elk, deer, and hares. With various wildflowers blooming next to green grass, you can experience the unity with nature in delicate floral fragrances. There is also a cozy fountain park with wooden decks around the small pond where it is recommended to take a slow walk and enjoy the fresh air.
When heading to the sheep ranch, a beautiful sunflower field spreads out which is a photo zone that you should not miss. If you take pictures among the countless sunflowers, you will never know the passing of time. If you continue to walk down the road and pass the five-colored pinwheels, you will reach the sheep ranch. At the place, you can experience sheep feeding and milking and it also has a small zoo where you can meet other animals such as rabbits and chickens. As a place for natural ecological experience, it is a great place to fascinate children.
The gondola operates from 6:00 to 12:30 and from 15:00 to 20:30. Taking this into account, it is recommended to immerse yourself in the charm of the sunset and night view at Mont Blanc. Listening to “Reality,” a song from “La Boum”, “City of Stars” from “La La Land”, and a song from “Sunny” that were heard at the program Begin Again Korea, and appreciating the scenery, you will have a sentimental time. It is a perfect place for sentimental travel through the forest trail of healing avoiding heat and the COVID-19.
Phoenix Pyeongchang is also famous for lodging, and it has three condominium buildings, , including 28-storey Sky Condominium, the highest of Korea’s condos, one hotel building, 4 villa buildings and one youth hostel. Because it is a complex resort with recreational and leisure facilities including Phoenix Snow Park, Country Club and Blue Canyon Water Park, customers can enjoy a variety of services by expanding their choices. Particularly, if you participate in a variety of outdoor programs such as Forest Camping BBQ, Luge Land where you can experience a non-powered sled through cool breeze, Blue Canyon as a water park in the forest and Wellness Forest Trekking where you can have time to speculate while bathing in the forest, you will have more fun to travel.
