Jangamsan Mountain Gliding Site

Jangamsan Mountain is a famous mountain with a panoramic view of Pyeongchang-eup at 836m above sea level.

Particularly, you can have paragliding experience at Jangamsan Gliding Site, which was opened at an altitude of 740 m in the area of over 1400 pyeong. With the appropriate wind speed and wind direction, it has a wide white sand beach on the river side of Pyeongchanggang River at Noramddeul directly under Jangamsan Mountain which can be used as a landing field. It is a famous place for paragliding.

Jangamsan Mountain Gliding Site with proper wind direction and altitude can be used by everyone from beginners to advanced paragliding pilots. In particular, tandem paragliding designed to carry two people — instructor and passenger — in a group allow anyone who does not have any knowledge about paragliding to fly. Following the instruction of the skilled pilot, you need to run to take off and then sit back, relax and enjoy the stunning views. Even if you don’t have a paragliding experience, when you go up to the gliding site, you will be able to enjoy the panoramic views along the Pyeongchanggang River or enjoy the stunning views watching people paragliding.

It is 2.2 km from the entrance of the trail of Jangamsan Mountain to the gliding site and it takes approx. 2 hours.
